National Technical Honor Society (NTHS)

The National Technical Honors Society is a nonprofit organization established to honor excellence in career and technical education.

The National Technical Honors Society is the acknowledged leader in the recognition of outstanding student achievement in career and technical education. More than 2,500 schools and colleges throughout the United States and it territories are affiliated with the Society. Member schools agree the NTHS encourages higher scholastic achievement, cultivates a desire for personal excellence, and helps top students find success in today’s highly competitive workplace.


NTHS is dedicated to:

  • providing the highest quality recognition for outstanding students in career and technical education
  • supplying excellent services to our diverse and multicultural membership and member schools
  • creating new and emerging relationships between the educational community and business and industry
  • being a flexible organization on the leading edge of technology and constantly responding to change
  • maintaining financial responsibility to meet our increasing needs
  • sustaining growth, innovation, and continuous improvement based upon ongoing evaluation

Nomination Criteria:

  • Career programs class GPA of at least A-
  • GPA at home school of a minimum B-
  • Superior attendance at Area 31 Career Center as well as home school
  • Consistent progress in attainment of core proficiencies
  • Nomination by Program Instructor Only
